Quicklinks overview
Quicklinks are versatile shortcuts that direct users to specific pages or resources within a site. They can be customized to be featured on the homepage, and to have icons associated with them.
Patron features:
* Quick links: Add quick links to help direct people.
* Choose Where to Link: Can be on-site or off-site.
* Finding Content: Good for programs, big events or hard to find content.
* Visual Aids: Add icons or logos to illustrate.
Admin features:
* Visibility: Show and hide per page
* Limited time: Start and end dates, perfect for summer reading or holidays
Integration features:
* Tags & Subjects: Tag quick links to have them appear on kids, teens pages.
Front-end location
On the front end, Quicklinks can be found featured on the homepage, on the page they are assigned to (see next note), and by searching for relevant tags and names.
Assigning where the quicklinks go
To assign the destination of a Quicklink from the editor, you can either search for the page path or use the dropdown menu on the right.
Featuring quicklinks on the homepage
If you would like a quickling to be featured on the homepage make sure it is checked to "yes" in the editor.
Page indicators
Setting a page indicator determines what pages the quicklinks will appear on.
Is the quicklink temporary?
If the Quicklink is meant to appear or disappear on specific dates, use the 'Show After Date' and 'Hide After Date' settings to specify when the Quicklink will be visible.
Adding a quicklink icon
If you would like to add an icon for the quicklink you can upload an image from local files, or through the site files.
Want to use an svg?
If you have an SVG from a source like Font Awesome that you’d like to use, simply copy and paste the HTML into the SVG box.
Saving this page as a shortcut
If this is a frequently visited page, consider adding it as a shortcut.
To add a shortcut, click on the account menu in the top right and select 'Create a Shortcut'.
