Staff and Board overview
Staff and Board is where information about staff and board members is managed. Features include setting up new staff and board members, editing existing profiles, and providing details such as staff and board booklists and Q&A sections allowing visitors to familiarize themselves with everyone involved at the library.
Patron Features:
* Staff Landing Page: Grouped by department, this links to individual staff pages.
* Board Landing Page: This links to individual board pages including emeritus positions.
* Staff & Board Pages: View bios, favorite books, and Q and As.
Admin Features:
* Database management: Manage staff in the databases section, including new images, statuses, etc.
* Staff management: Easily remove and add staff as needed.
Integration features:
* Themes: Some themes promote a featured staff person on the home page
* Specialized pages: Some themes promote a specialized staff person on specialized pages, like kids or teens.
Renaming a staff or board member
If a staff member needs to change their name for any reason, be sure to click on 'Regenerate' next to the slug field. This action will update the URL path to reflect the name change.
Three staff and board information types
When adding or editing staff and board members, you will see three tabs to complete. At a minimum, you will want to fill out the Info tab to provide visitors with a comprehensive view of each member and their unique roles within the library.
Tip: Consider filling out the Q&A section, allowing their personalities to shine through. Additionally, members can share a list of their favorite books to further engage with visitors.
